I know I’m a tad late on this.
I’m also aware of the lack of activity on this site, but if you haven’t heard, apparently, the pandemic is all but over. People are congregating in mass, eating in restaurants, going to arcades, and not masking up at all!
It makes the image on this site a bit outdated – and the site title too.
But as time has passed, these entries haven’t been about the pandemic. Rather, they’ve been about my life, of being an Asian, millennial father in these fucked up times where society is on the cusp of collapse. Just like everyone else worrying about their TikToks, their 12 ounce hot, but not too hot, 130 degrees, split shot (half decaf, half regular), sugar free vanilla, not a lot of syrup, only half a pump, no foam, Americano, with coconut milk, and acting their age.
So it’s time we changed as well – no, I’m not moving to TikTok – I haven’t even gotten to Facebook yet. Rather, it’s time to move the site; time to expand beyond quarantine diaries because I’m not quarantining at home anymore. I’ve been going out, like the rest of society – living our best life, before the house of cards all comes crashing down and we’re living out The Last of Us in real time.
It won’t be tomorrow, and it won’t be next week, but stay tuned. Soon. I’ll link the new site when it’s ready.
And there will be more things to read about. From another job change, to getting a colonoscopy without any anesthesia, to getting let go at the local Crate and Barrel.
Soon. I promise.
